Slart
From virtualartpedia
SLART™ is a critical review of art in Second Life. It was started in December 2006 by ArtWorld Market, the avatar of RL artist Richard Minsky. ArtWorld also started SLART™ Gallery at that time, and has subsequently started SLART™ Academy and other activities that use the SLART™ trademark. SLART™ is published in-world as a NeoBook, as well as in RL as a limited edition archival publication.

Controversy
In January 2007, the questionable ethics of trademarking the word "SLArt" by Richard Minsky became the topic of heated debate both inside and outside the SL artists community [1] after several blogposts about incidents with people being asked to license their use of the word.
